Set in the historic Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City, this modern Avenues remodel blends architectural creativity with Après Build’s commitment to fine craftsmanship. Working alongside Brach Design Architecture, we brought their vision for a one-of-a-kind custom stair system to life, making it both functional & artistic.
Individual maple slabs serve double duty as shelving while forming a ladder that leads to the loft above. Each slab was assembled with precision joinery — dominoes glued & clamped together — to create seamless strength & durability that will stand the test of time. Above, maple slats are tied together with slender metal rods, forming a minimalist guardrail that balances safety with clean, modern design.
This Avenues remodel highlights the possibilities of purpose-driven details, where every element is designed for performance, beauty, & longevity. It’s an example of how Après Build collaborates with forward-thinking architects to craft spaces that are both functional & inspiring.
